A BRAVE mongrel from Reading who went to war at the Battle of Maiwand is honoured in a memorial sculpture in central London.
Bobbie, who was based at Brock Barracks with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, went to Afghanistan with the regiment and was present at the famous battle in 1880.
